Some of Dr. Aplenc's epidemiologic goals include defining and applying ExtractEHR, a software package co-developed for electronic health record data extraction and curation, to address impactful clinical research questions, assessing acute and short term anthracycline associated cardiotoxicity in pediatric AML, and identifying disparities in pediatric cancer outcomes
